Welcome to our Newsletter and our Newest Team Member, Sara Astorquia! Quick update on Galli + Seidl Happenings

Welcome to our newsletter! We know you all get plenty of mail in your inbox each day so our goal is to make sure that our newsletter provides a little something of value and doesn't just become more "clutter". We are passionate about what we do and the community we serve and we hope this newsletter provides an opportunity for us to share a little about both with a quick market update, along with an update about happenings in our community that we are excited about. If this doesn't interest you, feel free to unsubscribe. We promise our feelings won't be hurt! So…without further ado…What's new with us? We're growing! After 6 great years of working successfully as a team of two, Brooke and I decided it was time to hire another team member. Our business has been steadily growing and we are always looking for new ways to make sure we can remain true to our goals of providing local knowledge and exceptional service in the real estate business. In July, we welcomed Sara Astorquia to our team. She's a great addition and we are lucky to have her! For those of you who don't know Sara, here's a quick introduction: Sara is a native Idahoan. She grew up in Twin Falls and Ketchum and moved to Boise ten years ago with her husband, J.J. She is a graduate of New England College in Henniker, NH. After eight years in the medical world, Sara made the jump to real estate. She has an affinity for design and architecture, and admittedly a very soft spot for old houses with good bones. This passion will be a great asset as she focuses on helping Galli + Seidl Real Estate's clients looking to purchase property.

Concert for a Cause!
February 28th, "We've Got You Covered" Series at the VAC (Visual Arts Collective), with proceeds from the night benefitingHearts for Hadley, a cause close to our hearts. The concert will feature David Andrews Band and Guests New Transit, Rebecca Scott, Bill Coffey, Dan Costello, Steve Fulton, AKA Belle, Leta Neustaedter, Sherpa, and More. Our favorite bass player, Chris Galli, will be playing a couple tunes throughout the night. You can purchase tickets in advance for $15. Tickets


Sharing & Giving Through MusicWe've got you covered is a Music Series performed and recorded at Visual Arts Collective 6 times a year. There is a featured artist for each show. The Featured artist picks other musicians to cover one of their songs. They are encouraged to put their own spin on the song. Make it their own. Additionally the proceeds from the door go to a Charity of the Featured artists choice. Artists and Charities change each show. The performances will be multi-track recorded and a Multi-camera visual recording will be made of each show as well. Each episode will be packaged into CDs and DVDs of the performance available online and in store at Record Exchange. This is ancillary revenues for the Charity and We've got you covered. The Goal is to spread the word about all of the artists and the Charities through music. Future hopes are to get Idaho Public Television to air the series.

The new year got off to a fast start in Ada County this January. Sales were up 15% over last January and new (pending) contracts increased 9%. Resale closings and pendings were both up 18%, reflecting rising buyer confidence, fantastic interest rates and the recognition that buying real estate in Boise right now is a bargain. New home sales also increased about 10% over last January although pendings were down 7%.

Inventory of resale homes is very low with only 2 months of supply. New home inventory of 6.1 months is down slightly, as we are getting rid of some standing finished inventory.

2015 looks like a great year in residential real estate: buyers are taking advantage of the great bargains presented by reasonable prices and low interest rates. Low inventory levels mean that sellers are able to put their homes on the market without worrying about too much competition.

We LOVE this "newish" local business in NW Boise. If you haven't been you should definitely check it out! The Local is a hidden gem located off the beaten path in a strip mall off State St near Lake Harbor and Plantation Country Club. But don't let the location fool you. This is a sophisticated, yet casual, neighborhood hang. A great beer and wine menu is complemented by a unique and fun menu of food to "nosh" in a comfortable atmosphere. The Charcuterie Board is a must try! We highly recommend The Local. More info at
